Centrally Sponsored Schemes are being funded by the different Ministries to different department on different rates of funding pattern like 100%, 50:50, 80:20 etc. The Tribal Development Department makes provisions on the part State Share for the schemes to be executed in Scheduled Areas or for the benefit of Scheduled Tribes of the State. The funds are released directly to the concerned departments by concerned Ministries. Detail of schemes being run under CSS is as under:
Central Sector Schemes under which 100% Assistance is given to State/ UTs & Govt. of India under taking:
- SCA for TSP
- Grants under First Proviso to Article 275 (1) of the Constitution
- TRIFED
- Esstt. of Grain Banks in Tribal Villages
Central Sector Schemes under which matching (50:50) Assistance is given to State:
- Construction of Girls Hostels for Scheduled Tribes
- Construction of Boys Hostels for Scheduled Tribes
- Esstt. of Ashram Schools in Tribal Sub-Plan Area
- Research and Training
Central Sector Schemes under which cent per cent assistance is given to States/ UTS and NGOs:
- Vocational Training in Tribal Areas
Central Sector/Centrally Sponsored Schemes bifurcated from Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment from 2000-2001:
- Post Matric Scholarship to the students belonging to Scheduled Tribes for studies in India
